Yesterday they took out 3 of my wisdom teeth.

My mouth hurts. Everything tastes of blood. I'm all swollen up. :(

The two bottom ones were so sideways they couldnt pull them so they widened the sockets (drilled actual bone? Argh) and cut them up in situ.. Fortunately i was under general anesthetic.

Elizabeth is doing fine - ive got a lot of photos to put up soon but ive been a bit short on time.

My end of year presentation went unprecedentedly well. The whole group did their bits well and we all ended up with >70 in each of the 4 modules we were being graded on. Which is pretty crazy really. Going in to year three on the right footing at least.

Now I'll try sleep again. ow.

1) I went to the dentist, they drilled and filled one of my front(ish) teeth. It hurts a bit two days later suddenly, but I'm sure it's fine. Some time in the new year I'll have to have my wisdom teeth taken out. Because one of them collapsed. That was annoying, so it has a temporary filling in now.

2) I got the marks for my more technical first brief of Yr 2.. I was a bit annoyed at myself after the first marks I got back this year were 68, but for the techy assignment I got 75, so my average is good! Year two marks account for 25% of my final grade, so if I can do well for this year I could have 20ish points to begin "next" year with, giving me a little more leeway in what's going to be a pretty heavy year..

3) I drew a crazy CMO Oekaki (might still do little mods here and there, like fixing her wonky eyes) which took about 20 hrs of draw-time. It doesn't necessarily look like it should have taken that long, mind.. The wood, shinies etc.. Mostly just experimenting, but it looks okay!

4) I'm working on a 30 second film/editing project and a 10 second animation project. I'm making them both about Zombie Holiday, which is a godsend many different ways. So right now I'm making and rigging 3D models of characters, building scenery and doing mock-up rendering at the moment. Here's a very dirty preview of one of the scene setups. It's a series of tubes in reality, spinning.. We're getting marks for technique, so if I can do things efficiently and make them look nice whilst technically being not that complex that'll be good. Here's a few seconds in the graveyard.

5) Sofar.. Blender is my friend. 3DStudio Max is mostly doing my head in.

I was being sick all last night and much of this morning. It wasn't fun.

batkat has been great though, and im finally keeping stuff down. Some soup, but mostly Calippos.. better than nothing.. :)

I anticipate being ok tommorow..

I missed Tuesday uni and spent most of the first half of the week being pathetic and/or in bed.

Fresher's flu?! Bah! Well. Whatever it was - it was annoying. Felt feverish at one point but got over that pretty quickly, the rest was sinussy cold-stuff and feeling zombied. Kat seems to have caught it off me just in time to start work too which is unfortunate. :(

Our internet connection is being a bit wrong again. Grrr.

Sorry I've been slow replying to emails, back to that shortly. Oh, talking about email - got one from an old friend last week which really cheered me up.

As you might have guessed I decided I'm probably not allergic to Molly, or cats in general.

Well, I don't think I am. I think the sinus problems are dust(mite?) allergy, and they seem to have stopped since we turned over the mattress and put the pillows through the washing machine.. :)

I do come out in weird red itchy patches whenever either the rats or cats scratch me, even if they don't break the skin.. This is common with rats anyway, but i hadn't realised it could be a problem with cats too. I might try to get some cream for it..

For a moment I thought I might be allergic to... TEA.. That would be scary. It does give me hot flushes and makes me sweat a lot sometimes though..

Washing up liquid makes my fingers all blistery (contact dermatitis probably?)

Orange juice (especially things with sodium metabisulphite) can make me itchy as hell..

I can quite easily make my tongue bleed with salt and vinegar Quavers.. I'm not sure that's supposed to be easy, but it's crispy masochistic fun!


Basically I'm allergic to everything. Woohoo!

Well, before I do a nice update I'll do a pretty annoying one..

Having returned from a week away I've been struck (again) by annoying sinus pain and headaches.. Which I've been getting routinely for months, usually when I wake up - lasting a few hours.. I was expecting them while I was on holiday too, but it basically stopped after the first 24 hrs away.. (I didn't take my olbas inhaler, which i normally need, but it wasn't a problem after a couple of days)

I think I'm allergic to....

I'M ALLERGIC TO MOLLY, DAMNIT!

(for those who've not been paying attention, Molly is our pet cat)

I wondered about this possibility a while back but dismissed it as it seemed silly at the time, and it could've been so many other things.. Dairy, my meds, etc etc.. But my diet was identical on holiday, and I was taking my meds.. And this sort of headache was totally gone.

So now Molly is being banned from some parts of the house and we're thinking about trying to kit the place out to be as allergy friendly as possible.

Totally lame. Not impressed. I love Molly to bits, she rules. Does anyone know much about allergy treatment? I've found some reviews and these two look to be useful:
