trouble burning cds...
I'm trying to burn a cd and when I insert the blank cd and click burn it says "disk burner or software not found." I've never had problems burning cds before, can anyone explain to me why this is happening now? I did recently install Leopard, but why would that affect its ability to burn a cd?
Has anybody else experienced this?

CD/Disk Image
Hi -
I have a macbook air (yay!) and I know I've seen this before but can't for the life of me find it.
There are some programs out there (*cough* games *cough*) that require the CD to be in the tray for the program to launch - obviously, with a Macbook Air, I'm not going to haul around the external DVD-R just to 'prove' I have the CD.
Is there a way to burn the contents of a CD that I legally own to my hard drive and have that 'confirm' that I own the CD to run the programs (games) that require them? THX. :)

new (to me) powerbook g4
So I just bought a powerbook g4 1.33 off of craigslist and I have a couple of questions:
1) she was a graphic designer and has both CS and CS2. Is there any reason I shouldn't delete the older version?
2) right click. On my imac I was able to set the mouse for right click. there doesn't seem to be an option for this computer. Yes I have googled and I've tried two apps (iscroll and sidetrack) and as far as I can tell, they aren't doing what I want
2a) is there a keyboard command that I can use instead?
3) is there a keyboard command for forward delete? I use it pretty frequently on my imac.
4) average battery life with a) wireless on b) wireless off and watching videos?

Help! (Leeds people only, for obvious reasons!)
Does any on my friends list have access to a soldering iron who could swap a couple of wires around on a plug for me?
Basically it's a 3-pin DMX lead and I need the data+ swapped for the data- (as my controller and lights inevitably don't share the same polarity).

In other news...
1. I've made a tactical error with the Woolstock tickets, or rather I had enough printed for three retailers but ended up with four. The result is that I've run out of Saturday tickets so I'm going to have to go and steal some back off one of the shops tomorrow. I could get more printed but that would mean they'd be more tickets "in the wild" than the venue's capacity, which I'm loathed to do. Obviously I don't believe that we'll sell out (well, I don't believe we'll sell out in advance) but safety first and all that.
2. Unless there are any violent objections I've decided to make the t-shirts one-sided this year. My reasons are as follows: I can't quite see Saturday people wanting a shirt with Friday's bands on, and visa versa. The last two years we've had late changes to the line-up, and with thirteen bands that's obviously even more of a liability than last year. Finally we always lose money on the t-shirts, so we might as well lose less!!
3. We've got a band playing before the June Transmission! Yes only 8 months after Transmission started and I intended to run regular pre-gigs I've finally organised one! I would start spamming it but I've lost my usb stick with the flyer on it, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow night for the printed version. (Edit: usb stick located by Sally, but at home.)
4. Watched "Jesus Camp" last night which was frightening, and yet more confirmation for my dislike of all forms of organised religion. I don't have a problem with faith or belief on a personal level, I just can't deal with it when a person's beliefs are not personal and "require" them to try to influence (or seek validation from) others. I'm quite comfortable with my world outlook, thank you very much, and I couldn't give a monkeys whether people share it or not.
5. ...but that said, I've also been quite alarmed by just how well the BNP did in the recent elections. The results show that they came close (sometimes very close) second in a sizeable number of Leeds wards. In our own ward they were only beaten by 11 votes - that's arguably only 6 voters between them and another seat on the council.

Holy crap, encore performance!
Templar, Arizona: The Mob Goes Wild is going to print, everybody. And that means The pre-order project for book two has begun! With a bigger book and snazzier printing, the goal is a lot higher than it was for book one, but I still think it's do-able. Help get the book to print by pre-ordering! And hey, order the fancy dee-luxe package, and get a cool shirt and some original art in the bargain! God knows it's not doing my any good lyin' around here.
Also up for grabs are special misprint editions of book one, The Great Outdoors. Five bucks buys you a perfectly serviceable 112-page comic! Get 'em while ya can!
