2:27a - Pepper :(
Pepper the rat is still (seemingly) terminally ill.. If anything he's getting worse..
Today he's reasonably likely to be put down i think - I don't know if he can recover from what they might have to do to him. Otherwise he's likely going to have to be poked, drained, cleaned out and given antibiotics every day.. (even more than before).. Probably for over a week, which isn't the best timing..
So.. Pepper might be getting a seaside holiday to Wales! This could be either cute and funny or frustrating and mildly depressing. Or a combination of the above.
David and Jan aren't good enough rat handlers to deal with him, despite the fact he's 110% placid. They'd do feeding and cage cleaning, but complex medical routines with force-feeding are a nono..
So.. fingers crossed he'll be OK, and need simple treatment so he can at least stay by his brothers..
